Ammonium chloride is produced as a by-product of soda ash. The fertilizer business of the Central Glass Group began by making use of ammonium chloride in a nitrogen fertilizer. Since then the lineup has expanded to compound fertilizers (NPK and NK) and coated fertilizer Ceracoat-R®.

As the sole Japanese fertilizer manufacturer of ammonium chloride-based fertilizers, the Central Glass Group is determined to contribute to the prosperity of Japan's agriculture.

Compound fertilizers (NPK and NK) and coated fertilizer Ceracoat-R are produced by Central Glass' fully-owned subsidiary Central Kasei Chemical Co., Ltd. and are distributed by another fully-owned subsidiary Central Godo Fertilizer Co., Ltd.
